Biopsy of pleural based mass
Lung tissue with non-caseating tight epithelioid granulomas.
Stains for AFB and GMS are negative for mycobacterial and fungal pathogens.
Comment: The findings would be consistent with sarcoidosis in the appropriate clinical setting.
