CT in the axial plane through the region of the left atrium, shows an enlarged left atrium measuring 4.9cms, and a ratio of the pulmonary artery to bronchus of greater than 1 suggesting pulmonary hypertension. A small complex effusion is present.

CT in the axial plane through the right posterior recess, shows thickened interlobular septa at the right base, congested arterioles, alongside the bronchioles, peribronchial cuffing, a congested pulmonary venule in the interlobular septum, ground glass changes and a secondary lobule demonstrating mosaic attenuation. The IVC is dilated and a small complex effusion is present.
