History/Indication: 39 yo male no significant PMH presents to ED with LLQ Abdominal Pain. PSH of appendectomy.
Physical exam demonstrates very focal LLQ pain. No rebound tenderness.
Findings:
Fat density, ovoid structure with hyper dense rim
Surrounding peritoneal fat stranding anterior to the proximal sigmoid colon
No free fluid, free air, abscess, or obstruction.
DDx:
Diverticulitis
