1. Findings
CT of the upper abdomen in axial projection shows a left kidney that hyperdense and in the nephrogram phase, while the right kidney is in the excretory phase. The left kidney also demonstrates perinephric extravasation and induration as well as peri-pelvic extravasation. This patient presented with acute flank pain and hematuria and was shown to have a stone in the distal left ureter at the UVJ.
